Glad you found a profile there is a few going around. Just a quick heads up on the course it wouldn't be classed as a hilly course. first mile all downhill super fast,1- 2 mile all flat except for short rise over flyover, between 2 and 3 there is a climb at about 2 1/2 but is very gradual until about 200 to the top and even at that its not overly steep. between 3 and 4 all downhill except for a kick over the other flyover with about 500 from home.
You wont be disappointed thanks for entering.

this is a very good race. i won't make it this year but our club (gowran) always support it as best we can. There's lots of places to be made up by starting conservatively and pushing from corner at the bottom of the hill. I hope the Dan Morrissey receivership situation has not impacted too much.

A week to go to this, I am not quite ready for sprinting but it should be a blast.

Aiming for 25' I think but the lungs will burn!

Dont worry if your aiming for 25 minutes you should have plenty of company. Word of advice dont get too carried away for the first mile as its super fast. Hope to have a good crowd entries coming in from all over the Leinster area.
    See you on race day.

Thanks good day for it, slightly disappointed with numbers. 170 pre-registered and had 196 finishers. Too many races in the south east its getting impossible to avoid clashing with other races. Hopefully bigger and better next year.

    Nice race with lovely atmosphere.

Finished in 25:45 and found it quite tough. The first mile, being downhill, is difficult to judge and put me in red pretty much straight away. I spent the next 2 miles trying to catch my breath and I only felt ok in the last mile by which time the race was over! I am really clueless when it comes to short races.

At least it was a good session for DCM (remember people price goes up tomorrow: I must signed up today!)

Coffee and cakes were lovely in the GAA clubhouse afterwards: great effort with the posters of the previous races.
