What sort of lexus are we talking? Are you intending to tax the lexus if you get it? Is the passat diesel?

Passat is 1.9 diesel €30 a week run around and the lexus is just a lexus not an altezza plain and simple and the tax would be the same but I wont need to tax due to having garage plates in the window

A 02 Passat diesel is worth a bit more than a 00 Lexus IS200. I'd want a bit of money your way if I was entertaining the deal.

What sort of mileage are you doing as the IS200 will be nowhere near as frugal as the Passat either?

that depends on where I go to look at cars really some weeks 50 miles some weeks 500 mile i normally would not but what are lexus like been honest petrol wise and that ?

The IS200 was always known for being a bit thirsty, they are not all that powerful either.

I'd stick with the Passat tbh.

Ya I think the Diesel would be a better option in the long run Petrol prices i dont mind its just the cars themselves had to drive to Donegal over the weekend the passat is the job thanks for the advice :-)
