Candle Wax on Cat

My cat managed to get his paws on a small red tea candle and splattered himself with wax... He's not in pain, but managed to get some on his little white face, and I'm wondering what's the best way to get it off? It's very close to his eye, so I don't want to irritate it. I know I could just leave it, but what's the alternative? The hair is too short to shave

It should just peel off or rub off with a cloth

Worm water will melt the wax and get out of there with a cloth.

Freeze the chap, remove wax easily, then thaw out.
Or just use liquid nitrogen / icebags.

    Dip it in boiling oil

Aren't cats really good at cleaning themselves?
