First Year Deferral - 'Exceptional circumstances' Help!!

    Hi everyone,
So I had planned to accept a place in IADT this coming year and then defer that place until 2015/16. However when I started researching about the deferral process most articles seemed to say that IADT only allowed deferrals in 'exceptional circumstances'.
I was hoping that anyone who has deferred (or knows someone who has deferred) first year could let me know if it really does have to be EXCEPTIONAL circumstances.

I had a look around this forum and noticed a number of people mentioning that they had deferred first year.

    Thanks!
