    Hi all,

Just looking for some advise on what may be wrong with my PSU or if someone else has had a similar problem before.

Its a Corsair AV1200. When i turn it on it just makes a clicking noise and nothing else. I understood this to mean that something was causing it to trip so I have unplugged it from everything at this stage and "jump started" it but still the same thing.

Does this sound like she is finished? Id say she is about 5 years old (im not the first owner).

    Thanks

That doesn't sound good at all. It should go with the jump start trick. Is it still possible to RMA if you're not the first owner? I think the warranties on them is 7 years?

Ya warranty is 7 years. Your not technically allowed to RMA if you are not the first owner so will have to see.

It's going to cost you a lot of money to post it off even if you could RMA it. Better off to just buy a new one.

Those AX PSUs are very costly. Even with postage as high as €40 or so sending it to the Netherlands, you'd still be as well off getting a warrantied one.

Ya considering the cost of the PSU its worth the return. At least I will know in advance before i send it if they will accept it.
