I am having an issue with work at the moment, I am currently on health and safety leave. My employers are making little or no effort to find me alternative work. Can I put pressure on them and make them find me alternative work.

    Thanks in advance

unless there is some provision in your contract or union agreement what the company do is up to them.

If there is a vacant position in the company you could apply for the role and should you be suitable / the best candidate .. then happy days.

If you are asking if the company is obliged to 'create' a new role / job for you as you are unable to perform the role that you are employed to do .. the answer is unfortunately no.

Creating a new role is not what is being requested, moving to a different area of the company is what is being requested. It is written into company contracts that staff can be moved if required, this us something that happens within the company on a regular basis.

I've highlighted the crucial text. If there is no requirement for additional staff in another area they are under no obligation to facilitate you.

    Your reading the clause wrong.
The "if required" is to facilitate THE EMPLOYER. It doesn't mean if YOU require a move.
How would it work for the employer if they had to keeping moving staff from position to position, or creating new positions for people , they'd never survive.
