Should I request feedback?

    Hi guys,

long story short I applied to a job that was more or less out of my field but was called for interview. Interview went well (imo) and I was positive about it. In the mean time I was offered another position and was delighted with it but didn't get the position with the other company.

I'm all about feedback and trying to improve my skills... I requested feedback from them via email but no response. Should I give them a call and push them on this? I don't 'need' it anymore but surely it could be useful?

Because this company are so unprofessional it's been around 6 weeks since the interview so I'm wondering if there's even a point.

    Thanks
    Ross

I feel your pain. I did an interview a few weeks ago and they never bothered getting back to me. If a company is that unprofessional I'd say to forget it, especially if you already emailed them and they didn't get back to you. It really is the height of ignorance and they obviously have no manners either,

It's their loss anyway Ross, forget them, If a company is that rude they aren't worth worrying about

I would only ask for feedback if I wanted it and it was useful.

Anecdotal evidence but I asked for feedback on two occasions and they didn't get back to me. On both occasions after a week I sent an email saying 'I understand that you are very busy but I was wondering if you have an update on the status of my feedback' on the first occasion the lady had forgotten on the second the hiring manager had gone off on holiday but I eventually got the feedback off them so If you really want it ask again. If you don't hear back the second time then they are a dead loss.
