Myself & my boyfriend have been together 10 years. We have a 7 year old son together but we are like two flatmates raising a child.. we havnt had any relations in nearly a year & he never gives me any affection.. nothing. we both work & split school runs etc between us. he does he own thing for everything dinner, lunch etc
the fact this has been going on a year is so frightening I just cant see anyway it will improve..
there is no love at all between us, I wanted more children & marriage.. but that is probably never going to happen now that Im 38 .. we share a mortgage & I know for certain if it wasn't for that & our boy he would be long gone. Ive tried loads to bring it up but he shuts me down.. refuses to talk about anything.
I also really fear he might be cheating... very secretive with mobile phone. Going out at all hours.. he has even stayed out over night on occasion. I asked him if he was before & he bit my head off & said why are you cheating?
What should I do .. I wanted more from life than this

Doesn't sound good hon :( What do YOU want to do? Stay in a loveless relationship or give yourself a chance at happiness in future years by separating? Without your partners willingness to approach this problem or change it, he's leaving you with those two options. It's up to you to decide which one would be better for you.

I think you know yourself that you need to leave. I know this is very hard when you have a child together but you have to ask yourself if it wasnt for your child would you be putting up with such behaviour? It will be awkward financially with the mortgage etc but once you take the step to do it you will look back and wonder why you didnt do it sooner. If he loves you he will try and stop you or beg you to come back. And if he doesnt, well the relationship was most certainly dead. You still have time for happiness, you are only 38. Look after yourself, and your son. Dont be asleep in your life.
