I just got a letter from the DSP saying that my One Parent Family Payment will be reduced as my son is 18, unless he is in full time education.

He is hoping to go to college in September, however, we won't know until leaving cert resuts and CAO offers are out on the 18th of August.

The form needs to be stamped by the college and returned in the next ten days so just wondering what should I do? Thanks

Has he just finished his leaving cert? If so go down and tell them and payment should be OK until the end of the summer. Provide evidence of acceptance to the college when he gets it.
