In-line gear cable adjusters

Quick question. I have a cube peloton pro with internally routed cables and am looking to change the inners and probably outers as well. For some reason (possibly because cables are internally routed), the cables are fitted with in-line barrel adjusters. These adjusters are basically useless, as within a day or two of adjusting them they revert back to their original position. I know I can use the barrel adjuster on the rear derailleur to set this, but it's a PITA for the front derailleur.

Is it possible to stick a barrel adjuster directly onto the hoods and use this to adjust the gears? Alternatively, is there any way to put a barrel adjuster where the cable outer meets the frame on internally routed cables?

My focus frame has barrel adjusters where the cables go in to the head tube and they too are useless as they are too stiff to turn and you can't get a decent grip as they are also recessed. I use the rear derailleur adjuster and for the front I was just patient with the cable fixing at the derailleur. Could you try a different brand? Jagwire, sram and shimano make them
