penalty points effect on insurance premium for learner

    I am just wondering if any of you folks have any experience of getting insurance on your learner permit for a bike when you have penalty points for Speeding in a car. I have 6. :(

    Not looking for specifics , just an idea. Going to do the liberty online thing now, but I imagine it won't quote me with the penalty points.

    Surprisingly the liberty site quoted me . 766 for a 31 yr old learner on a gsr600.with 6 penalty points. That's not too shabby. I think the penalty points only add about 100.quid.

    Penalty points don't add a mad amount. It may actually help to add a named driver with a clean license as well (worked for my car policy).
