First World problems

I was reading an article today in the Indo, a woman who works as a midwife, who was paid late today, if they were trying to get sympathy this is probably not the best example. So she had to go through the hardship of taking money out from another account, because she didn't get paid on time. It's not like she's getting married tomorrow and has to pay everything today or she has to cancel her wedding because she's getting paid tomorrow instead of today.

Why the wedding references? cause that's all women have to worry about?

I live week to week. I was paid late before and totally messed me up. Also direct debits don't care about you and the bank will still charge you €12.70 if the money isn't there.
I'd love the luxury of not worrier whether my wages are in or not

Maybe her mortgage was due to.go out of the account today and she didn't need the grief of missing that?

I can't understand why people are getting so annoyed about people giving out about being paid late. I'd be mad too.

Ah yeah I agree, i live month to month but have an overdraft and can understand if you need to pay bills but this woman has thousands in another savings account, she's not stuck for money, if they were going to run with a story about it, they should have picked someone who was actually worse off today because of it. I can't post up the link, she's saving for her wedding that's why I mentioned that.

Not everyone who didn't get paid today is in the same position as that woman. To all the bitter bástards who love begrudging the civil servants: just imagine if it was yourselves that didn't get paid ye wouldn't be long getting a lynch mob together.

Garth Brooks. Now that was a first world problem.

    Definition of irony.

Starting a thread titled "first world problems" because your so pissed off that someone else was annoyed that the money they worked hard for and bloody well earned wasn't in their account when it was supposed to be.

I was with Ulster bank and I didn't get paid for a month before so I know, I'm not giving off about public sector, I'm more on about this particular story of "hardship", when its not.

Here's a first world probelm of mine atm

Hey guys, I've to do a lot of work on a computer over the next few weeks and I keep distracting myself with the internet. I'm getting that Freedom software for my laptop to disable it on the laptop but I was just wondering whether anyone could tell me what the best options are for Android that would disable all means of accessing the internet for a set period of time but still allow calls and texts.

I know there's a version of Freedom available on Android but, like the PC version, it can be disabled on a reboot and that would pretty much render it useless because I'm always having to reboot my phone anyway.

My phone's rooted, by the way.

Figured out a much better solution, anyways.
