I think we got autoglass to do the last one here. Insurance job. They came to the yard and fitted it.

yes think you have to specify windscreen or what ever cover now, depends on age of tractor

yup asked them at renewal, it actually worked out cheaper to fix them ourselves, didnt bother fixing windscreen on digger as its not glass and wont shatter

You see this is the craic with cheaper quotes. Headline figure attractive but the devil is in the detail ie excess, what's covered etc

i surely hope you right , a few years ago CFM in Cork asked me around €120 for big one and frame would have been about 40 more if i didnt have it. thanks for info

Well we where at leeks last year and lifted the forklift on the back up with the window open and it smashed, little widow fell on the ground, was grand, got one the next day in wbd for either 23 or 27 euro. Easy to fit. Cost us double that really as we had to throw out the load of leeks as they were contaminated with the glass.

If you have a frame you can try a glass/window repair shop. You need to get safty glass but they can cut to size and some will fit it. They are great for mirrors as well.

ya but liitle worried with price drop forecast they dont need break in weather now, remember 87 was passing a 50 acre field of barley just outside limerick neary fit for combine ,a week later some cut before weather broke and it was flattened worse than you'd roll it,think friend of mine said some was harvested but most lost, its kinda that stage now crispy dry and ready but straw would soak water like paper haven,t heard how its weighing though must be good, moisture wise as well, think bb selling at €10 in field, might cushion feed costs if buffer needed later

might try getting laminated but must make frame for pattern to fit around it maybe use ply as template for future ref. don't break too often ,last one was in 390 when using quick attach frame, working off farm with one tractor so fitted quick-attach to scraper and to back-loader with silage grab as well as fert spreader thought it was handy. nearly smashed right shoulder one morning when tilting grab, loader came off quick attach and arrived in to back of tractor up on to seat, broke window as well ,so quick attach came off loader that weekend.
no frame around glass to use as guide. however i was told the-one in it is priced around €60 euro. you'd make it with about 4feet of half inch pipe. just has two rubber washers and bolts that fit into glass to hold it in place, talk about rip off. i didn't have time to price stuff today was welding and making up new side frames for tipping trailer that overturned while tipping load of stones, must get timber tomorrow and finish it.
