Would you be bothered to save a few quid? Myself id be more worried about the possibly virus's that will infect my computer than the possible 10 euro I could have saved!

These days I only torrent games with day one dlc, or loads of it announced. Pick up the 'game of the year' addition down the line then when its on steam sale

I've enough games in my (purchased) backlog without needing to add pirated ones to it. The price of games drops so quickly anyway, I don't see the point.

bought anno2070 before and play using the torrent version as it is easier to launch uninstall and reinstall. The only game i had to do this for.

needless to say have yet to buy a ubisoft game since.

Used to but not anymore. Games are so cheap on Steam or Humble Bundle there's no point.

Same as some others, I used to but now I have such a backlog of games and they go cheap so quickly, I don't bother.

Given that a number of games don't come out with demos any more, coupled with shops refusing to take the game back if it doesn't work on the computer - I would, if only to see if it runs grand on the system before committing my cash to it. Requirements to run games can be pretty subjective when you have your own system built and personally think it's unfair for shops to be unwilling to take them back if they genuinely don't run on a system.

Been quite a few years since I've done it; last few games have been cases where the installed game does not work anymore (for whatever reason).

sometimes, to check whether a game will run, but then sometimes i do it because a particular company might have annoyed me with their drm dlc or always online policies, ive even found with certain games i own that its so much easier to have the pirated version of said game as i dont have to load up origin Uplay windows live etc. (kind of hypocritical that i dont mind steam but ive so much on it and its always just on anyway)
I dont really need to though with the amount of cheap games i have from steam, humble bundle, gog etc.

I did download Assassins Creed 4 to try it out, because I'd heard good things about it, but I'd been let down by 2 and 3.

I actually really enjoyed Black Flag, and within maybe an hour or two of play I bought the full game.

I kind of treat torrenting like renting from Xtra-Vision in the old days. If I like it, I buy the full product, if it's crap (like Thief) then I won't buy it.
Hardly a real justification for it I know, but sometimes it's hard to get a true review of a game before it's release that isn't just paid for hype building.

Right folks, while no one has linked anything, discussion of anything related to pirating games isn't allowed.

    Going to lock this now.
