    Hey all,
    Mate is planning on going to Limerick or somewhere over the weekend from Dublin, and was wondering if his 2013/2014 student card would be valid (when do they expire?). Also, his college is not listed on the student site; would this be a problem? He'll be buying the ticket online.

    Note the bit that says

    http://www.irishrail.ie/fares-and-tickets/students
    ID Requirements

    Students can avail of these fares by presenting one of the following forms of valid identification:

    * College ID (See terms and conditions below)
    * USI Card
    * Leap Student Travelcard
    * International Student Identity Card (ISIC)
    If he doesn't have one of these, he risks being fined.

    Note that one of the online fares may be cheaper than a student ticket, but the rules are more restrictive.

    Yes.

    Men, it has been well said, think in herds; it will be seen that they go mad in herds, while they only recover their senses slowly, and one by one.
