Any idea when we will see the new Mondeo or the new Focus? We all know the Mondeo was delayed 2 years plus, but still no sign of launch date. Focus was shown at Geneva for launch in July, but its almost August and dealers claim to know nothing about when the new model will be available, though they might be last to find out- does anybody else know of launch dates or details?

The original Focus went from 98-05, second one from 05-11, so I wouldn't expect a new focus till at least 2017 unless its a facelift.

I had expected to see them by now but, like you, haven't heard much on the latest focus. They must have more than expected stock levels of the old model to clear up and have decided to push putting the new version on sale until next month.

Mondeo due to be rolled out in October, probably for sale come January. It's old stock in the US now, they have the same car for over two years, called the fusion!!

why the long delay in releasing it here? The current mondeo is a bit long in the tooth now.

They first said it needed a bit more fine tuning then a few days later they announced they were closing the factory and moving production from Belgium to Spain hence the delay

Yap they are really pushing it! From what I read I think the delays were something to do with some factory closing in Europe somewhere and workers disputes. Release date pushed back umpteenth times now.
