Read on a few sites that Kid Cassidy was fatally injured in today's Galway Plate. Very sad news.Always had a soft spot for the horse since he survived the "electrocution" incident in Newbury in February 2011. He did beat 2014 Champion Chase winner Sire De Grugy in confident fashion in late 2013. And no doubt still had a lot of talent and ability left in him.

SHOCKER ...... Had no idea he's gone, Has a soft spot for him aswell, you dont see many horses gettings a run on Mccoy but he had a job trying to hold him in a chase

Yeah terrible stuff, I had backed him yesterday and missed the incident.

I looked on ATR and he was down as a faller which surprised me, had to watch the replay a few times and it looked like he jumped it fine but some infront didnt and he went into the back of horses in the air and landed nearly sideways obviously vastly increasing the chance of a fatal injury.

A real for the horse and you have to feel for his new trainer
