So am currently working a M/W PT job, not claiming any SW. I've received a FT job offer from a company, thing is, its at the other end of the country! I can't afford the first months rent and deposit to move up there, would the CWO loan me this money until I get my first salary payment?

    You can only ask.

I would find it extraordinary if they gave you the loan.

What you have there is more of what is just one of life's problems. It is not an exceptional need. Nevertheless, it's tough out there.

There are numerous options available to you to exhaust so you can stand on your own two feet. If it was me, I'd stay in a hostel while you save, or travel from where you are. You won't be inconvenienced long term.

A short term overdraft from the bank should be available also. It's only small money to them. If you irrevocably tell your HR department to lodge your wages to X bank account, and have them (not you) email that to the bank, the bank will give you the loan.

Exhaust EVERY option before you go to CWO.

Why would a CWO help you? You're not claiming any benefits.

I probably am entitled to part time dole, or casual job seekers I think its called, if I don't take the job then I'll probably have to sign up for that :(

    ...blah blah blah....

Exhaust EVERY option before you go to CWO.

Is your viewpoint based on experience with the CWO or are you just going off on one?
