A woman I know recently had a miscarriage as well as having various health issues, vertigo and many more. She is on the long waiting list in the health system.

She just lost her job is the process of signing on for JA. she is going to fly home for medial help in her home country and her GP is happy to sign off on MC1 MC2 etc for this time (3 weeks). But she has been told that effectively she is signing off JA and onto illness benefit and when she is well enough to return to looking for work she will need to reapply for JA.

The rules for JA is that the first few days are unpaid. so my question is whether she will loose the first 3 or 4 days each time in moving from JA to Illness benefit and then back again.
