Might be a surprise for some of Master Race members, but this is coming out like in September!

I love original Stronghold Series and this new one completely went under the radar.

Interview with devs by quill18. It looks and sounds great so far!

I've been watching everything there is to do with this game for the last 3-4 months, did NOT go under the radar for me, absolutely adored stronghold:crusader and still play it sporadically. I hated Stronghold once they got into the 3D crap with dragons and everything but this looks like it could be great!

Have to admit that looks like a great game, definitely going to be keeping my eye on that one.

Just a note from interview: They are self publishing this time as they got ****ed over by publishers deadlines with Stronghold 3. They admit it was a **** up with Stronghold and they were forced to launch unfinished game. they still were fixing it after launch, but damage was done.
This time they are doing it themselves and doing it right. Fair play to them!

I think they have gotten this so wrong. The battle for middle earth was much better both graphically and gameplay and that was 10 years ago now.

So a few weeks on, how goes this game? Did they resolve any of the issues?

Also, what other good games in this category is there?

I'm playing Anno 1601 at the moment, but i'm looking for something different, I have tropico 3 as well, will give that a go again soon.

Anno 2070 as Cormac said or if you want something more hardcore give factorio a go.

Screw it, just got the Anno 2070 complete edition, Anno 1404 gold edition and Settlers 7 for 35 euro. Not too arsed to find any better deals.

I'm looking around online to find it at a good price, any ideas where i can get it? Steam seems a bit pricey right now. I saw a dual pack on amazon.co.uk, but they won't deliver to ireland.

Enjoy Settlers 7 man. One of my favourite games out there!

Next time they're on sale (they go on sale regularly) have a look at the Paradox games, Crusader Kings II or Europa Universalis IV or one of those. Quite interesting if taking things in a different direction to Anno etc.

How are people finding this gameplay wise at the moment? Thinking of getting it but the reviews are very mixed.
