Need a recommendation for a small laptop + docking station

Hey guys, I need to buy a laptop in the next few days, a present for my dad. Right now he has a lovely little lenovo 14" but its has a problem with the motherboard so he needs a new one. He has a crappy old desktop as well, and I want to get him a laptop he can use with a docking station so he has one pc at home and when out at meetings.

He definitely wants something small - 90% of laptops are 15" with the numeric keypad, he does not want this. I dont need anything special just a decent processor so it lasts.

Budget is around €600 for the laptop. For the docking station, anything will do just so he's not having to plug in and out loads of wires each time. Are there any universal ones, or what manufacturers make them for their laptops?

I need to buy it this week, was going to to carrickmines as there is currys pc world and harvey norman.

If anyone has any pointers or advice I'd really appreciate it!

You'll want something along those lines + 13" portable. 1 USB connector and its own power connector to re-attach when he gets back.
