I have one, actually its to one I am using at the moment. Find it great. Very very light and comfortable. When it was released it was over 100 euro but I got it on sale for about 50 a few months ago.

thanks logik, re the sizing ,I cant see size on my old helmet but would like to think that I have average size head so wondering whether medium or large ,is there scope for much adjustment, was thinking of getting the highlighted yellow to make myself more visible on the road ( either gone off the front of group or out the back door again:) )

I have an average sized head and I went with the Large. It just felt better. Medium was a little tight.

Have a Giro Savant too. Very light. Very comfortable. Got mine for €65.

From what I can remember my head is 58cm (for which a medium was recommended) but I went with the large. It fits perfectly with/without skull cap

That very much like me, the large just seemed better. Go for it OP!

I had a look at the kask vertigo this morning. Very plush helmet and at the moment they're having an amnesty on them reducing the vertigo from €199 to €119. All you need is the details off your old helmet to avail of the deal.

I got one 2 weeks back from Base2Race at the amnesty price of 120 euro-quite easily the most comfortable helmet I have owned. The K50 quoted above is no where close to the quality and spec of the Vertigo-also not discounted as much.

I would check by ringing them first but they had 4 or 5 left at least.

They are 99 quid on Ribble at the moment but the exchange rate is so poor, buying it here makes more sense.

Check and see if Cycle Superstore is selling them as you might get your loyalty discount too?

Yep as above the vertigo is the one to go for. I got mine in fitzcycles. Bike hub also had them but afaik they were just selling off what was in stock because the model was being discontinued.

The mojito is a nice looking lid aswell but it doesn't have the same quality finish as the vertigo and when I bought ine it was €30 more so figured I ma aswell get the better model.

Fantastic helmets and they come with a handy box and bag for storing.

Oh I know what you were saying but there was another lad up the page talking about the K50!:)

Still thinking of a Ribble R872?

Haha I'm actually considering moving a bit more main stream.

I've been looking at dare I say it Giant both the propel and the tcr advanced 1. The TCR seems like incredible value for money at €1799 and full ultegra.

Still love the look of the R872 mind.. hmm. decisions decisions.

The giant will also lend itself to answering the inevitable question "Is that a new f'in bike?" "Nah that's the same bike" as it's a similar colour to my current road bike.

The one thing about Giant is that you can spend 500 euro or you can spend 10 grand and the 2 bikes look the same!!
