Steam: Fallout 3/Windows 8 Compatibility

    It was on sale at one point during the Summer Sales on Steam and I wanted to get it so bad, but I didn't because I heard so many people saying that the Steam version of the game was just flat out incompatible with Windows 8 and 8.1.

    I have the game on physical copy but I would rather get it on digital, as I like to have all my games in one place now. I already have Fallout New Vegas on Steam and Fallout 3 is laughing at me everytime I go into the Store, figuratively speaking.

    Can anyone confirm if Fallout 3 (on Steam) is compatible on Windows 8 platforms before I go make a stupid decision? Thanks.

    It worked fine for me, but I had to install games for windows live and add a fix for multicore processors, both can be found online.
