The Sims 3 on Steam - Question regarding Origin

I have The Sims 3 and The Sims 3 - University Life on physical copy, redeemed into my Origin account.

I have a good few funds loaded into my Steam Wallet and I was looking into getting a Stuff pack for the game. However, I am curious as to whether or not I can transfer it over to my Origin account.

Am I able to buy expansion packs for The Sims 3 on Steam and transfer them over?

    Thanks in advance

I dont know about whether you can transfer or not, but a lot of people got the origin humble bundle, which included the dlc for the sims. Unfortunately i already gave mine away, but might be worth posting a request in this thread,

Somebody likely still has it, might be gernerous and just give it to you or might be able to trade something you have for it.

    Just a suggestion.

    The DLC was

The Sims 3 High End Loft Stuff Key
The Sims 3 Late Night Key
The Sims 3 Date Night Key

I believe if you register your game keys to your account on the Sims 3 website, and that account is linked with Origin, then you are granted a copy of those expansions on Origin. But, I haven't tried this myself, so can't say for certain.

Also, you're not going to be able to buy the DLC for TS3 on Steam without already owning the base game on Steam.

I was on my way back to this thread to say that. I wasn't able to buy the DLC anyway. Oh well. I'll wait a few days and buy it off Origin. Would seem more sense that way, anyway.

Would you wait until September when they release Sims 4, they might have a deal on.

Well I'm not in much of a hurry. Hype surrounding the Sims 4 just got me in the mood to play The Sims 3. I'll probably move away from it right away when 4 comes out as I will be making a purchase.
