Is there a good time of year to shop for hardware?

Doors, flooring, sockets and switches, that kind of thing?
When do hardware shops have sales?

Hardware / diy stores can have sales from time to time but if you want a bargain all year round then stay away from these stores.
Building suppliers have trade prices all year round & rarely if ever have sales. They would still be cheaper than hardwares & diy stores.
January sales are good for Woodies & B&Q.
