Transfer time JFK

Hello,

I am looking at making an onward flight through JFK. The flight from Shannon arrives at Terminal 4, and the onward flight departs from Terminal 2. There is a 2 hour connection time. Given that you clear immigration in Shannon, is this enough time to make the connection?

As long as the Air Train is running you should be fine - http://www.panynj.gov/airports/jfk-airtrain.html

That should still be enough time to clear security at Terminal 2.

There's no need to exit security - there's an airside shuttle from near gate B18.

+1 to this dont exit security take the shuttle will save you a lot of time and bother

It depends if you are going to have your baggage checked in at SNN to your final destination. If not, you'll have to claim your baggage and go through customs. That itself would take an hour.

No customs needed if flying direct from SNN to JFK as its all done in SNN

Thanks to everyone for the replies. Just a further question re Shannon, do you clear both Immigration and customs in Shannon. My flight is with Delta all the way, so I was hoping that our baggage would be cleared straight through.
