    A quick question.
Will a Transit Mk6 central locking remote work on a mk1 Focus, once reprogrammed.
Transit remote are cheap and easy to find, while the Focus ones are more expensive.

Supposedly once they are coded they can't be reprogrammed again.

    Simple answer no it wont.

If its only the remote you need buy one on ebay and swap the part with the buttons with your own and you can programme that part yourself by cycling the ignition on and off four times then press any button on the remote.
But if you want the imobaliser part working you will have to go to a dealer to get that programmed.

All I got from the seller was the basic key, no immobiliser.
All I wanted was the fob to operate the central locking.
Seems the mk6 Transit and mk1 Focus use the same system.
Just wondering if it's something anyone has tried.
Might check about for a cheap one and give it a try

its possible it doesnt have remote locking try cycling the ignition four times see do you hear a beep from around the instrument cluster if not it doesnt have remote locking.
