I have a pair of DNA shoes . I noticed today when cleaning them that the sole has started to come away from the shoe, I noticed that my feet where a tad moist the last time I played I put it down to humidity but there was some morning due around . So could have been a combination of both . But IMO there letting in a bit of water. I had a quick google and can't find anything about the 2 year warranty a outside of the footjoy us site.

It's happening on both shoes both front and back of the shoes, as a nearly €200 pair of shoes I'm a tad p*issed off that their coming apart after about three months of light wear. They were a present but I'm told they were bought in McGuirks , has anyone any experience with footjoy returns or do I deal with the seller(as stated they were a present so I don't have a receipt ) . Im going to give McGuirks a call and see what they suggest but I said I'd see if anyone has been through a returns process of worn , but IMO faulty shoes .

I bought a pair of Footjoy Dryjoys a couple of years ago and after about 10 months of wear the leather on the instep of the right shoe started to split where it meets the sole. The shoes were well cared for but never the less started to leak so brought them back to Halpenny where I'd bought them (had a receipt) and they were exchanged for a new pair without question.

I'd imagine it would be similar without a receipt especially since you're confident they were bought in McGuirks, I'm sure it happens a lot with presents and people loosing receipts.
I know GolfStyle in Galway have great customer service as friends and relations have returned damaged/faulty items that weren't even bought in the shop and told the shop as much but items were still taken back and replaced since they stocked them and would in turn return the items to their supplier/manufacturer.

I've had a few instances of having to return shoes to either my local pro shop and Mcguirks. There was one set of Footjoys that I neded up just exchanging for an Adidas pair, as they kept letting water seep in.

Obviously it will hlep if you can locate a receipt, or credit card statement outlining the sale at McGuirks. Outside of that your pinning a prayer on their good faith, although I've found the gold retailers to be a lot more generous then other retail outlets.

In terms of your actual rights, this would fall under an item not been fit for purpose, and meeting expectations of expected durability. While there is the acceptance a shoe will deterioate over time, there is an acceptable length of time by which you would expect the shoe to be waterproof, and fit for purpose.

I know in the case of my footjoy returns, Footjoy issued the waterproof seal with a 12 month warranty.

I think the main thing here will be locating your receipt, but returning shoes which are fraying, or waterseals breaking relatively quickly, is not uncommon.

I returned my dna's to mcguirks today as the shoe was coming away from the sole on the inside of the right shoe. Noticed it while playing moyvalley in a downpour today.
In fairness to mcguirks they offered me a full refund but I decided to give anothe pair of dnas a go. The guy in mcguirks said they had been seeing allot of returns, he reckons they are large fitting and people have to over tighten the laces to compensate. I took a pair of 10.5 instead of my usual 11's and they seem a much better fit... Hopefully I have better luck with his pair as they are the most comfortable shoe I've ever owned...
