Trying to identify tree from leaf

    Anyone got an idea what tree these leaves come from

    the main things you can see in that photo are the seeds; they're like sycamore or maple seeds, but the leaf is more difficult to see. can you take a shot of that?

    It seems to be an ornamental maple of some sort.

    Pretty sure it's a Paper-back Maple (Acer griseum)

    I've looked for decent photos on the web, but they don't seem to match the ones in my "tree book" exactly. If I get time I'll scan in the relevant pages tomorrow.
