Jobseekers Benefit and tax credits

    Hi Guys,

I'm very confused. I am just back from Oz, was claiming job seekers benefit (as I had 39 weeks of employment from 2012). Now I got my tax cert for 2014 and my tax credits have been reduced? & rate band reduced? Is this normal?
I thought it would of been taken out of the contributions I made in 2012.
Or am I just being stupid?

    Any reassurance would be super?

    Thank you! :)

Jobseekers benefit is a taxable payment so in order to collect the tax due, your tax credits and cut off is reduced.
