Hope this OK from the mods, but just to update on my Dads bike.

Thanks to some excellent help from an Garda Síochána, we recovered the bike.

Delighted. Thanks to everyone from yesterday for your help. Its not often we get good news like that but without your help I couldn't have been sure.

Computer and Saddle bag gone but he cleaned it and put theses ****ty little lights on it so happy days :P

Delighted for you DDC1990. Hopefully the thief doesn't get a slap on the wrist.

I guess this has been a good reminder for everyone to take a few photos of their bikes and record their serial numbers (just in case).

So how did it go down, did a Garda accompany the viewing?

Won't go into too much detail but it was like a scene from Love Hate.

The Gárdaí watched the arranged meeting point and moved in when he showed.

A gunfight broke out, 2 junkies and a cat got shot and now your girlfriends caravan has been firebombed but you got the bike back and managed to get the smack out of the back wheel before the drugs squad turned up?

Nice one OP. Good to know the Po Po were willing to help. You have to watch yourself now though, these gangs will retaliate with everything they have.

Yeah! He put even more on after the picture for all the good it did. Shoddy work though, might re-do it.
