    Hi,

I have the Huawei R201 3G routes that is standard for fixed mobile broadband from Vodafone, and I want to try & improve the radio signal by attaching an external antenna. I asked in the VF forum and was told it is possible but VF wont tell me how as it is outside the scope of their support.

The R201 does not have an external antenna socket, so I assume it requires opening the box & fitting it to the PCB.

Has anyone seen this done & can provide instructions? A web search is getting me nowhere

You would need firstly an external antenna adaptor like this one HERE
After that you will need the actual antenna, directional yagi or just an ordinary whip.
Check the connector on the adaptor to see what antenna will fit
