    Good afternoon all :)

We MAY be looking to purchase another tractor - possibly a 390 T 4wd.

I suppose what im wondering is - what do you all think of the 390 T - and secondly - and the reason for the post - what other tractors would you suggest considering of the same sort of size and capability of the 390 T.

in terms of alternatives - I was wondering about stuff like John Deere or Landini.

6300 John Deere looks interesting - but we know very little about them

The tractor would be likely to be used for fertilizer spreading, working slurry tank and agitator, drawing bales with a trailor etc.

    Needs to be 4wd

I'd have a fiat 100/90. Getting agey but great machines. Not all that suitable as a dedicated loader tractor though with its clutch system.

my broter has a 390T 4wd with loader, its a '96 18 speed and he really does find it very good. plenty power for agitating and slurry tanker. compact for the yard and plenty quick on the road.

his only gripe is that a shuttle gearbox would be handier for the loader work, and the 18 speed is too many gears for drawing loads where you might need to drop gears regularly or quickly. Oh and he'd get a hi-line cab if he had a choice as it has a flat floor. he has considered trading up over last few years and always gets allowed fair value on trade.

dont know alot about similar sized other brands - the fiats, john deere and 40 series ford probably fair machines
