Childrens program from the 80s about Irish mythology on RTE

    Hi,

I remember a program on Dempy's Den around the late 80s about Irish mythology. There was a seanachai with a very impressive beard (and equally impressive Kerry accent) that would tell stories from the Irish mythological cycle with some stop motion animation interspersed. Does anyone here remember the name of the program/story teller? Are there any clips on youtube?

    Thanks.

I remember that too, it was like a live action D&D session. It was on ITV if I remember correctly, maybe they had it on RTE as well though. Not what I was asking about but an interesting blast from the past all the same:)
