    Hey

Is OmniMAXX in Rathmine's Ireland's largest cinema screen now? It's 15x20 meters.

Also does it show only 2D movies, and if so will it be showing Guardians of the Galaxy in 2D this weekend?

I don't know big that one is compared to the one in cineworld, but the cineworld Imax screen is pretty big

And they will definitely be showing GOTG this weekend, not in 2D though.

That link doesn’t list the screen’s exact measurements, just that it’s at least 20 metres wide and flat. That would make it about the same size as iSense, Cineworld’s fake IMAX and other money-making-racket-faux-IMAX screens. Quite a lot smaller than Vue. And the Savoy, which is 21 metres wide, would still probably retain an advantage for scope films.

Generally speaking if they aren't shouting from the rooftops that they are largest screen in Ireland, then you can assume that they aren’t. Faux-IMAX screens are usually average size.

Does anyone know if it’s 2k or 4k? It doesn’t say. In fact, it doesn’t say anything about the projection.
