moving to the UK to join the police

    i want to join the british police force and feel there's no hope here in Ireland with the guards. i believe i need to be living there for 3 years, so i am wondering whether or not i could get into the special constables who volunteer their time.
    while living there ill be working well thats the plan, anyone have any idea how expensive this might and where the cheapest place to live in england would be ?
    any help would be great thanks.
