Spark Plugs Concern

I have often seen this discoloration on older plugs, but these particular ones have less than 1000miles on them.

Is this a sign of a leaking plug?

By the way the car runs fine, but uses a lot of oil, with no obvious oil leaks, but very little smoke either.

What's the tip of the spark plug like? It might be running lean causing serious heat which might explain the burnt look on the plugs

Thats normal, its called Corona stain, caused by static electricity attracting dirt and oil mist while in normal operation.
    Its nothing to worry about.
Oil usage is likely more like valve stem seals or ring/bore related.

    Thanks Guys,
Not sure if its coincidence, but the plug without the stain had a replacement lead fitted recently.

Oil is a separate issue alright, causing some deposits on the plugs.
