    Hello all, hope alls well,
Ive a question about installing acrylic sheets in front of sash windows.
The story goes like this, my girlfriend is moving to a new room with her yoga business which happens to be across the street from a pub which plays loud music in the form of bands and DJ's. The room itself has 6 large sash windows sealed shut by the landlord measuring approx 1590mm high by 1090mm wide.
My plan is to install 3-5mm thick full sized(1590x1090mm) acrylic sheets on the interior side of the window in one of two ways,
1)screw fix a 26x30mm timber bead to the timber frame surrounding the window creting an flat even surface, then fix self adhering magnetic tape to the timber bead and to the acrylic allowing the sheets to be removed at anytime, or
2)screw fix a 26x12mm timber bead to the window frame, bed the acrylic in silicone and fixed another 26x12mm timber bead, basically sandwiching the acrylic between the timber beading.

My fear is that the acrylic sheets will be too heavy for both of these solutions suggested and any feedback on the matter would be greatly appreciated.
another question is, does anyone know how much will the noise be reduced if i manage to get them installed?
    ps
the timber beading is 26mm wide to match the protrusion of the side rail of the sash window from the frame-the thickness is 32mm to match the frame/cill of the window.

    Any advice would be great,
    Thanks,
    Jonmul
