new fridge/freezer - anyone have a Whirlpool?

    Hi y'all. We need a new fridge-freezer and went looking in a big local retailer in Dublin today - need a large litreage (300L+) fridge capacity and saw good few with wide price ranges eg Fisher & Paykel, Miele, Siemens and Whirlpool. The Whirlpool suits our budget the best, but, I seem to remember a history of poor aftersales service etc. Has this improved or has anyone got any experience? Would go the extra distance if had any resounding endorsements of the other brands I mentioned.
    Any comments welcome.
