    Doctor Who: Deep Breath

Doctor Who makes a spectacular return to the big screen in the feature-length premiere episode of Series 8; Deep Breath.

Directed by acclaimed director Ben Wheatley (Sightseers, A Field in England) and written by lead writer and executive producer Steven Moffat, the beginning of the Twelfth Doctor’s era stars Peter Capaldi as the Doctor, Jenna Coleman as his companion Clara Oswald and sees the return of fan favourites the Paternoster Gang - Madame Vastra (Neve McIntosh), Jenny Flint (Catrin Stewart) and Strax (Dan Starkey) – in a pulse-racing adventure through Victorian London.

Doctor Who: Deep Breath will be screened in participating cinemas around the world from 23 August, 2014. More information will be released soon.

After passing on the cinema showing of the 50th Anniversary story, I was very tempted to give it a whirl this time around, but d'oh! I'll be away that weekend :(

It's a nice idea though, and if I recall correctly the 50th anniversary was the 3rd grossing film that weekend in the UK. Not bad going for a once-off. I doubt it'll do such good business this time around, but it's still so cool to see the show do so well :)

€15 is taking the piss. IMC Dun Laoghaire are charging €12.50 and I think Cineworld is €11.

Still pricey but not as much of a ripoff as Dundrum.

Is there a list of cinemas in Dublin showing this? My local cinema appears on the list on the Doctor Who TV site, but I can't find any mention of it on the cinema's own site. Just trying to work out where the actual closest showing is...

It's €12.50 in D'Olier Screen. There's plenty of seats left too.
