Just ordered a self filler for my 400 ltr Jarmet Sprayer, does anyone know how/where it attaches to the sprayer and how to work it? :o

I think it might attach here?

I would think your right, looks to fit there, but I've no idea of jarmet sprayers!

It should go between the tank and the suction side of the pump, when you change the valve it should start to suck in from the pipe rather than the tank

Put some water into the sprayer before you try to use the Autofill. The pump needs some water before it will operate. I'd say even a bucketful would be enough to get it going.

Sorry guys but can some one tell me where you attach the hand lance. Is it at the drain off point underneath or do you unscrew the feed to the middle section an work off that ?

Yeah, you can use the feed line going to which ever part of the booms is the handiest. Up at the valves, what kind of connections have you got joining the pipe ends to the valves? If you have quick release connectors, might be as handy to connect in there. wear gloves etc, and watch out for splashes from the pipes when you disconnect.

One fellow had a Jarmet with an extra valve, which was meant to be used for the hand lance. Don't think that was a common feature, however.

Just got a quote from whites for a 400L sprayer with 10m booms reel hose and lance for €1750 seems a bit dear compared to other prices?

I was given a couple of joiners that were inserted into the hose feeding the centre boom, so just a matter of cutting hose and inserting joiners and then when you want to attach the lance hose just have a female fitting on the lance hose to join male on main sprayer feed. As Nek says wear gloves and make sure you turn off lhs and rhs booms when using lance. not ideal, but then they're not a complicated sprayer.

Does anyone else notice their pump coming loose out of the mounting, several times i have noticed the nuts loose and the front two bolts sitting out of the bracket, despite tightening them with a socket. wouldn't like to be going round the field with the pto going and the pump jump out, would leave it a dear sprayer.

Mad4Sim - price seems hefty from Whites, despite strength of stg. I'll send you a pm of another guy here doing them.

Are they lock nuts or just ordinary nuts? Id pull them out and put new ones in

You can get fin lock washers aswell, are great job for keeping a bolt tight
