Does anyone know any companies that do a low deposit like €50 for a deposit or like the same as every other month direct debit as your deposit?

    Thanks

No, I doubt such a policy exists...but you're essentially just paying 3 months up front and the rest monthly for 9 months. So it's not too bad.

If that company exists I certainly havent come across it. Deposit is usually around 30% of the premium.

You might have more joy with a broker but I doubt it. Best bet might be to take out a credit union loan for the year to cover the cost. I would imagine that it would work out much the same as paying the insurer monthly (possibly even cheaper), and you can pay the same amount off each month with no deposit.

liberty do, but it's somewhat proportionate to the overall price of the premium.

just renewed this year and my policy by instalment was €70 up front and 10 months of €35. €420 overall. it was €400 up front, so with the instalments you hardly financially even notice the payments and it leaves more of my money free at any given time.

AXA takes a small enough deposit, think I was quoted 800 with 100/120 deposit and the rest split over 9 months with the interest on top

Aviva used to split payments equally over 10 months, so your first payment would be 10%. But I'm not sure if they still do it like that.

Be careful with the AXA interest rates, I found them to be a lot higher than other insurers this year. I am going with Axa, but going to pay in full.
