    Hi,

My car recently failed on cv boots. Just wondering is it ok to put cable ties on to hold on new boots?

Also he failed me on a boot not opening. But my car has electronic boot opening and the car has to be powered off to open so you dont accidentally open it at 60mph. The key doesnt work in the boot though. will I be ok with just the electric one if I tell him how to do it?

    Thanks

Not if the key doesn't work... Isn't that the point? That the boot can be opened - locks and handles?

But the boot can be opened from inside the car. Not from the outside.

They're testing the car, not you. That still falls under
Bonnet or boot catches defective or bonnet safety catch missing or defective.

Nothing about cable ties on CV boots, unless the tester deems it insecure..

It will be grand, show the tester the release button inside the car.
