    Hi
Working in finance a long time and considering doing my accountancy exams. I have exemptions from cpa formation 1.

What I'm wondering is there any of the formation 2 modules that would be doable with a few weeks cramming
    Thanks

CPA exams? No chance, them exams are hell, there is a reason Aca and Acca are more popular here.

    Avoid CPA, people.

My experience was CPA exams were easier/ more manageable than ACA

Bowandarrow - any chance you could get to a revision weekend? They'd be doing the most important stuff.

Even a copy of the revision notes would be handy, along with doing past papers

Your experience must have come from a some time back things are different now. Anybody I know, and I know a good few, that have done CPA and regretted it and looked at the acca exams in envy.

Just look at their pass rates, they have a quota for advance taxation for example were they'll only pass 30% of people and no more. Anybody who boarder line passed they'd even knock down to a fail just to meet their quota. They're a joke, man.

Youre figures are incorrect. And I qualified in 2013.

Pass rate for P2 advanced taxation was 43% in 2013 and averaged across 48.8% from 2009-2013

The average pass rates across all the P2s was higher again.

Pass rate for F2s was 58% in 2013 and averaged 58.8% from 2009-2013

Maybe I was misinformed, but all I can say is you're the first people I've come across that don't regret doing CPA. Maybe the people I know just had **** lectures or something which made it harder.

I know one poor soul that passed all the exams after trying so hard only to be denied qualification then because they rejected their work experience describing it as "outdated". Very harsh.
