Irish Rail - changing child ticket to student ticket

    Hi all, i just booked a ticket on the irish rail site and in my rush i selected child instead of student. Would i be better off booking another ticket or if i ring irish rail in the morning will they be able to sort this for me ?? cheers in adavance

    If you are 16+ then you can't travel on a child ticket. Give them a call tomorrow and see what they can do for you.

    yea i am and i only noticed the error when the email came through. Going to ring them tomorrow. dont mind having to re-book , but hopefully they can sort it out

    rather be upfront and change it now or re-book then chance it and face a large fine

    You just need to cancel and re-book.

    Ensure you have the following ID to go with a student ticket, if you don't then an adult ticket is required.

    Rang them the other day and they said just go to the ticket office at heuston and say its going to come out as child when i needed student, show them id and they will sort it
