Steam In-House Streaming my Set Up

I have had alot of free time last 2 days so I thought I would test a few set ups to get the best experience from Steam In-House streaming. Here is what I have done

    Equipment

    PC with 7i CPU, GTX 770 and a TP-Link TL-WN881ND 300Mbps Wireless N PCI Express Adapter

    Laptop Samsung RV511

Eircom F1000 ethernet cable with powerline connected to PC via Ethernet Cable

    Steam

Seeing as I am not using the WIFI Card on my PC and all my Routers are crap I thought if I could share my Ethernet connection with my WIFI Adapter I would then be able to connect with my Laptop with speedy WIFI and not need to directly connect my PC to a Router for In House Streaming.

I downloaded a Virtual Routher App http://virtualrouter.codeplex.com/ and created a WIFI Hotspot from my high speed Ethernet connection.

I then connected my laptop to this Hotspot and started Steam In House Streaming. I changed my Advanced Client Setting to Fast, Unlimited Bandwidth and 720p and ticked both boxes in Advanced Host Settings (Both Machine)

This setup drastically improved the experience for me although not perfect it will do for now until I can afford a high end router!

I ran it through an Apple Time Capsule with an 802.11ac ASUS dongle on the PC and it was glorious.
PC upstairs and MacBook Pro hooked up to a 42" 1080 TV downstairs.
My wireless 360 controller works at that range too.

Its great when you see it run flawlessly! I had doubt with so much glitching when I ran it over my eFibre Router. But my setup is doing the job for me at no extra cost!
