Where for family holiday 2015

    I am planning a large family holiday next year and am going to rent villa with a pool for ownersdirect or a similar web site, I don't want a long journeys from the airport, we stayed in gran alacant before and had a ball, very relaxing and a lovely beach called carabassi, near enough to shops and a few restaurants so no need to hire a car, there is no strip or anything like that which I like.

    Any other suggestions for something similar, so we can try do a comparison to sum up less that an hour form an airport, relaxing, a few restaurants, bars, and shops so no need for a car but no strip, a nice beach.

    In the same boat here. There are 12 (adults & kids) of us planning to go but only for 10 nights and this is proving to be our problem as at peak times it seems to be only possible to get a villa for 7, 14 etc. nights.

    Areas we have looked at are Albufeira in Portugal, Salou & Stiges in Spain. Stiges is particularly appealing for the lads in group because of close proximity to Barcelona for the obligatory day-trip to Camp Nou.
