Hi all hoping someone may be able to shed some light for me
I've been on the btwea for the last two yrs and it's just due to finish, the business has not worked out and no chance of survival without this payment so I will be winding it up once payment has finished. While I have been on this payment I've gotten married. Oh is earning €490 pw. I'm wondering re applying for ja and if there is a point, first of all can I after fin the btwea scheme? And second will I just be told your spouse earns x amount get lost?
Hopefully someone can shed some light for me thanks

If thats gross earning for OH then apply for jsa. You will probably be sent to a social welfare inspector to assess any means from your self-employment.

    Hi,

Iam not on BTWEA myself but have read a few things about it as a friend is considering it.
It seems it would be better to come off the scheme and sign back on before the scheme runs out. Thats what Ive read, I have no experience myself tho. Hope this helps.

    G luck

Even if you come off it before it runs out your claim will have to be sent to a sw inspector as there is self employment involved.
