I moved into a new house on July 1st.

The land lady was the previous tenant and was with airtricity and rang them to say that she was no longer living here and didn't give them our details so we had our gas and electricity cut off today. We had no warning and have a baby with medical needs so needed to pay a reconnect of €150 and an emergency reconnect fee of €150 on top of that.

Airtricity said they sent a letter to the landlady on June 26th which we obviously didn't get and they say she should have registered that there was tenants staying there.

Do we have a good case to get at least a part payment of the reconnection from the landlady?
