Tag Carrera

Dear all,
I hope you can help. I have been offered a nice looking Carrera Chronograph at a cheap enough price, but as is often the case if it's too good to be true ...
My question is: should all Tag Carreras have the see through back panel? It says "Automatic" on the face however the back is solid metal with the Tag logo on it. I can't post pics of it but a general answer would really help. I have a Tag Twin time and you can see the automatic movement which is the reason I'm asking the question.

not all watches have the display back that you're referring to, so that in itself isn't unusual.
check out chrono24 or other secondhand watch sites to get an idea on expected cost - it'll let you understand how much of a bargain you are really getting.

you can also see other people photo's of the watch, to make sure its legit.

Tag Carrera is a very common fake. Educate yourself on this using google and forums

What you will often see is high posting/respected members saying the watch is fake but refusing to say why; their justification being that if they do they are helping the fake manufacturers to improve their fakes.

Thanks 893bet. From searching further online I found a thread, similar to ones you've suggested above, stating the model and serial number and asking if the watch was real or not. Coincidentally the watch I was looking to buy had these exact same numbers. Needless to say I stayed well clear of the deal.
